Roof panels - cold-rolled construction elements made of steel sheets. The main application of them is covering of light roofs with slope up to 10% in industry and municipal civil engineering. Roof panels are used to both insulated and non insulated roofs but always should be water-resistant. Lower layer of covering is connected with panel by gluing. In case of insulated roof, the best effect is given by usage of poliuretan foam (water and temperature protection). Mineral wool or foamed polystyrene with covering of roofing paper can be applied.
Maximal length of panels amount of 6.0 m. is used for purlinless roofs. This feature is an advantage in comparison with corrugated sheets mainly applied to roofing.
Rigidity of panels is sufficient to protect against skewing of girders on which panels are put down. Other advantages of panels: quick assembly, flat upper surface, protection against corrugation. If it is needed lower surface of panels can be covered by masking plates of different materials. Lower part of panels are appropriated for fastening of such elements. In similar cases panels can be applied as construction layer of light suspended ceilings.
